Louise C. Greenspan MD

Louise Greenspan, MD was working at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco. Greenspan gets to take care of patients, do research with Louise colleagues at our Division of Research, and teach UCSF students and residents. Louise's practice is a mixture of pediatric endocrinology, which is the care of children with hormone problems, and diabetes. Greenspan has a special interest in puberty and childhood obesity. Louise clinic has a multidisciplinary approach to diabetes care and Greenspan works with a nurse specialist, Leah Chapnick, who provides excellent education and support to our patients. Greenspan is especially interested in supporting the psychosocial aspects of growing up with a chronic condition as well as how to help families cope with girls in early normal puberty.
