Louise Bowles MBBS

Dr. Bowles completed her medical degree at the University of London and specialty training in hematology at the University College Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Hospital following her medical rotations. Since 2008, she has worked as a thrombosis and hemostasis consultant. She runs bleeding and thrombosis clinics, as well as combined clinics with colleagues in women's health.

Dr. Bowles is a hematologist who specializes in thrombosis and hemostasis. She has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of blood clotting disorders that cause bleeding or abnormal blood clots such as pulmonary embolus and deep vein thrombosis of these conditions. She is able to provide advice and treatment options for anticoagulation. Her particular interest is in the effect of blood clotting disorders on women's health for example leading to heavy menstrual bleeding.

Dr. Bowles has authored a number of local and national thrombosis and hemostasis guidelines. She is also a teacher and examiner for The Royal College of Pathologists.
