Dr. Keinan-Boker has served as Deputy Director of the Israel Center for Disease Control (ICDC) since 2003. Within this capacity, she takes part in most of the activities directed in the ICDC, and especially in the periodical National Nutrition and Health surveys carried out by the Center and in the academic activity done in the Center. In addition, she is in charge of the National Cancer Registry in the Ministry of Health.
Dr. Keinan-Boker joined the faculty in the School of Public Health at the University of Haifa. She is currently an associate professor of epidemiology and a member of the Doctorate Committee in the School. Previously (2008-2011), she also acted as the Head of the Epidemiology track in the School. Dr. Keinan-Boker is a member of the Israeli Public Health Physicians Committee and was (2007-2012) the Head of the Board Examinations for Public Health Officers. Dr. Keinan-Boker has also studied in Dublin, Ireland (sabbatical), was a PhD student in the Netherlands, and a general practioner in medicine at Police Headquarters in Jerusalem, Israel.
