Lindsay Bailey has served as the Trauma Program’s injury prevention coordinator since August of 2017. In her role she provides community programs and education to prevent injuries amongst both children and adults in the Mid Carolina Trauma RAC. Most of her work with adults involves increasing the number of community programs available to reduce falls, delivering falls prevention education, and serving in leadership positions for state and regional falls prevention coalitions. Her previous work includes delivering falls prevention interventions at a local continued care retirement community and coordinating a workplace injury prevention program for housekeeping staff at UNC Chapel Hill. She has an MPH in Health Behavior from UNC Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Journalism from West Virginia University. While earning her graduate degree she received the Katherine Kerr award to recognize her commitment to social justice through public health.
