Linda Moy, MD is a Professor in the breast imaging section in the Department of Radiology at the New York University Langone Medical Center. She obtained her MD from the State University of New York -Brooklyn and completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center – Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Breast Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Moy interprets mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and breast MRIs, and performs breast biopsies using imaging guidance. She teaches and supervises residents and fellows in the above imaging examinations and procedures. Dr. Moy is the fellowship director for breast imaging.

Her research interests focus on optimizing breast MRI and performing advanced MRI techniques at 3T and 7T. These techniques include diffusion-weighted imaging, intravoxel incoherent motion, and quantification of contrast enhancement in the detection of early breast cancer in high-risk women and to improve the discrimination between benign and malignant lesions.

Dr. Moy works closely with the basic imaging researchers to foster a multi-disciplinary translational research team. In addition, she performs outcomes analysis of breast MRI. Her other interests include evaluating imaging features, such as background parenchymal enhancement and mammographic density, to determine if they are imaging biomarkers for an increased risk of breast cancer.
