Lihong Chen MD, PhD

Lihong Chen, MD, PhD joined Genova Diagnostics in 2016 as Director of Clinical Evidence Development. He has a medical degree from Shanghai Medical University, PhD in physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and post-doctoral training at the Joslin Diabetes Center.
Prior to Genova Diagnostics, Dr. Chen was a program leader of multiple drug development projects at GlaxoSmithKline for 14 years covering areas from basic research and target identification to pre-clinical to clinical transition and biomarker development. His expertise is in the area of chronic metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. He is also a trained integrative health coach focusing on weight management and metabolic syndrome.
