Liana Stefan Lianov MD, MPH, FACPM, FACLM

Dr. Liana Lianov serves as the President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and the General Preventive Medicine/Public Health Regent on the board of the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM). She chairs the Lifestyle Medicine Competencies Working Group led by ACPM. She serves as Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California Davis. Her company HealthTypeTM offers consulting services and develops innovative interventions, including mobile technologies, to support sustainable health behavior changes, emphasizing tailored approaches. Dr. Lianov’s previous roles include Vice President of Clinical Operations at Berkeley HeartLab– where she directed a national cardiovascular disease and lifestyle management program, Director of the Healthy Lifestyles Division at the American Medical Association, chief of the California Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program and women’s cancer screening programs at the California Department of Health Services. She is board certified in both preventive medicine/public health and internal medicine and has completed a consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship.
