Leslie D. Delfiner, MD, is Co-Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Care Center at Montefiore, Associate Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics, and Director of Pediatric Neuromuscular Medicine at Einstein. She delivers trailblazing therapies to patients with neuromuscular diseases, including exon-skipping therapies, gene replacement therapy, and other cutting-edge treatments. Her research interests include novel therapeutics for neuromuscular diseases. Dr. Delfiner was the recipient of the 2019 MDA Muscle Walk Medical Honoree Award. 

Dr. Delfiner graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University and later graduated from Weill Cornell Medical School at the top of her class. She trained in general pediatrics at Mt. Sinai Hospital, followed by her child neurology residency and neuromuscular medicine fellowship at Montefiore-Einstein.
