Dr. Leonardo Oliveira is a sports medicine physician in the Levitetz Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Originally from Brazil, Dr. Oliveira completed medical school in Brazil and his specialty training at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Prior to returning to the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Oliveira was Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine at The University of Chicago and Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Central Florida.
Dr. Oliveira specializes in non-operative orthopedics and clinical sports medicine. He seeks to promptly and accurately diagnose his patients and assist them in returning to their sport of choice. He is committed to quality care and was previously the Director of Quality and Safety for UCF Health(University of Central Florida).
Moreover, Dr. Oliveira uses the ultrasound to aid his diagnosis and be precise on his procedures. He seeks to employ the latest research in helping patients with tendon and cartilage disorders in order to allow them to be active. He has published several manuscripts and is eager to keep researching and evolving the field. He is active at the American Society for Sports Medicine as part of the Research Committee.
