Lauren A. Chambers, DO, RMSK is an interventional physiatrist who treats disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system. She received her medical degree from The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. She completed her internship at Danville Regional Medical Center in Danville, VA, and her residency at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC. She subsequently trained at OSS Health in York, PA where she completed her fellowship in interventional spine and sports medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Registered in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography (RMSK).
Dr. Chambers specializes in the use of electrodiagnostic, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and minimally invasive spine procedures which she uses to diagnose and provide treatment for patients. She is a recognized leader in her field, Physiatry Now featured her as a Leader in Physiatry and she teaches neuromusculoskeletal ultrasound to other physicians nationally at medical conferences. She also has multiple peer-reviewed publications and chapter authorships.
She practices evidence-based, patient-centered medicine and works as part of a team to provide holistic and compassionate care. She believes the best path to wellness involves treating the whole person, not just their physical pathology. As a former competitive soccer player, personal trainer, and someone who remains active in fitness, she has a personal passion for optimizing health. Having recovered from multiple ACL injuries, she has insight into the psychosocial aspects associated with a loss of function and the process of rehabilitation.
