Lara Jehi, MD, completed her Neurology Residency and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic. She is board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology and has many clinical interests, including medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy.

Dr. Jehi's current roles include both administrative and academic responsibilities. Within the Epilepsy Center, she serves as the Research Director and Head of the Outcomes Research Program, as well as the Quality Improvement Officer. At an institutional level, Dr. Jehi is the Associate Director of the Clinical Research Unit supported by a Clinical and Translational Science Award from the NIH. At the level of the American Epilepsy Society, her roles include acting as a contributing editor to Epilepsy Currents, a member of the Annual Course Planning Committee as well as the CME review subcommittee. She also has some national service responsibilities, including being on the board of trustees of Cleveland's Epilepsy Association chapter.

Dr. Jehi's academic interests have always focused on outcomes research in epilepsy, advancing the field to improve the selection of adequate epilepsy surgery candidates and developing mechanistic hypotheses to allow a better understanding of the process of seizure recurrence after surgery. Past awards include the American Academy of Neurology's Contemporary Clinical Issues Plenary Session award in 2003, the Young Investigator Award by the American Epilepsy Society in 2005, and the Best Doctors in America recognition in 2013.
