Laclaire Williams Stewart MD, MPH

Dr. Stewart attended UNC School of Medicine and earned an MPH from Johns Hopkins, after which she completed residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Arizona. She currently serves as an assistant professor in General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at UNC, where she spends her time implementing a telemedicine outreach program to support child abuse recognition and management in rural ED’s, doing child abuse inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic evaluations, and teaching first year medical students the art of the history and physical and clinical reasoning. She has a passion for rural and underserved patients and families, education, access to care, and continuity of care in the medical home.
