Krzysztof Kalwak MD, PhD

Krzysztof Kalwak graduated from Wroclaw Medical Academy in 1995 and attended research scholarships at the Universities of Tübingen and Ulm (Germany). During many years of work in the Department of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and BMT in Wroclaw, he completed subsequent steps of his scientific career and became a full professor in 2014. He is a specialist in pediatrics, clinical immunology, pediatric oncology and hematology, and clinical transplantology. Prof. Kalwak introduced CAR-T cell therapy for pediatric patients in Poland in 2020. He has been chairing one of the largest pediatric transplant units in Europe. In the last 4 years, he was ranked in the Top 50 on the “List of top 100 most influential representatives of Polish medicine”.
