Dr. Kevin Jay Abrams has been an attending radiologist at the Baptist Hospital of Miami, South Miami Hospital, Homestead Hospital, Doctors Hospital, Baptist West Kendall Hospital, and the Baptist Outpatient Centers. He serves as the Medical Director of Neuroradiology and MRI as well as the Chief of Radiology at Baptist Hospital. Dr. Abrams is one of the founding members of the Baptist Neuroscience Center.

Dr. Abrams holds academic appointments at the University of Miami as a Voluntary Associate Clinical Professor of Radiology as well as at the Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine at Florida International University as a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology.

Dr. Abrams has conducted research on a range of topics such as spinal imaging, stroke, and Alzheimer’s disease. He has published in respected, peer-review journals including Neuroradiology, International Journal of Neuroradiology, Cancer Research, and most recently the American Journal of Radiology. He is also an active speaker, with presentations at the Radiological Society of North America, the International Symposium of Endovascular Therapy, the Emergency Radiology Symposium, the annual Brain Injury Symposium, and at numerous hospitals and universities.

Dr. Abrams graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his M.D. from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut and a diagnostic radiology residency at the Hospital of St. Raphael in Connecticut, a Yale affiliate, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Abrams went on to complete a fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
