Kathryn A. Gold MD

Kathryn A. Gold, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating cancers of the lung, head, and neck. She uses numerous forms of therapy such as chemotherapy, biological therapy and targeted therapy to offer the best possible treatment options for her patients.

As an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Gold instructs medical students, residents and fellows and UC San Diego School of Medicine. Her clinical and translational research interests include lung and head and neck cancer, with a focus on targeted therapies and immunotherapies. She has presented her work at both national and international medical conferences.
