Kathie Kobler MS, PhD, APN, PCNS-BC, CHPPN, FPCN

Dr. Kathie Kobler is an Advanced Practice Nurse with over three decades of experience providing a relationship-based approach to care for infants and children with serious illness, and their families. She is APN Coordinator of Advocate Children’s Hospital’s Center for Fetal Care. Dr. Kobler is a published author, including co-author of Meaningful Moments: Ritual and Reflection When a Child Dies. She is an invited professional speaker regarding perinatal, neonatal, pediatric palliative care and bereavement issues.
Dr. Kobler is involved in advancing expert care in serious illness through leadership positions with the Hospice & Palliative Credentialing Center, the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, and National Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Collaborative. Dr. Kobler is a 2014-2016 Jonas Nurse Leader Scholar, with research on health care professionals’ experiences of caring for children at end of life. She is a 2016 Fellow in Palliative Care Nursing (FPCN), and received the 2017 Distinguished Career Award from the Hospice and Palliative Nurses.
