Kareen Louise TweedMSc, PTQA
Karen started her career at the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary when she ran the pharmacy sterile manufacturing unit. During this time she was in the first cohort for her first MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance with the Leeds University. After 20 years she branched out into sterile services and became the quality assurance manager and then decontamination manager for the Leeds Teaching Hospital trust.
She was the first person to attain MSc Decontamination with the University of Highlands and Islands. Karen was part of the pathfinder program under the National Decontamination Program and supported the sterile services in Leeds with their transition to B Braun Sterilog. She moved jobs in Jan 2014 and now works for the Sheffield NHS trust as Deputy Operations Director (decontamination).
