Dr Scott-Warren trained in Cardiff as an undergraduate before starting a general medical rotation in Manchester. He switched to anaesthetics in 2007 and started advanced sub-specialty training in pain medicine: during his year-long placement he relished the therapeutic opportunities presented by cancer pain management and invested time learning the highly specialised approaches and interventional techniques in the field.
