Judy E. Davidson DNP, RN, MCCM, FAAN

Dr. Judy E. Davidson, DNP, RN, FAAN, FCCM is a Nurse Scientist at the University of California San Diego Health, serves over 3000 nurses with project development, research protocol design, the IRB process, presentation, and publication. She has personally published over 80 manuscripts, 4 national guidelines, and 8 book chapters in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Davidson has conducted her own investigator-initiated research for over 30 years. Under her leadership, UC San Diego received an Exemplar from Magnet during the last re-designation for the dissemination of new knowledge boasting 89 poster presentations, 92 podium presentations, 49 nursing publications, 17 art exhibits, and 51 nurses initiated research studies, and 16 nurses as co-investigator research studies. Dr. Davidson is also the Associate Editor for the Journal of Nursing Management. She is here today to provide an editor’s perspective on writing for publication.
