Joshua Micah Zimmerman MD

Josh Zimmerman, MD, FASE is an anesthesiologist with fellowship training in perioperative echocardiography. Dr. Zimmerman's practice emphasizes the assessment and management of patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery as well as those with severe cardiovascular disease.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Zimmerman conducts research in perioperative echocardiography and non-cardiac ultrasound. His current projects involve assessing the impact of resident ultrasound teaching interventions, the comparison of transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiographic measurements, and the use of perioperative strain imaging to predict outcomes. He is a frequent lecturer at national meetings and workshops, and has authored several publications and book chapters.
