Yossi (joseph) Tam DMD, PhD

Dr. Tam holds a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, (2009) and also spent time working as a Staff Scientist and in postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Health. He has authored over 23 peer-reviewed papers in Nature Medicine, Cell Metabolism, JCI, PNAS, Hepatology, and The FASEB Journal.

Dr. Tam’s research projects over the past years have varied, crossing disciplines and methodologies, finally focusing on the different pathophysiological aspects of the endocannabinoid (ECB) system. In 2014, Dr. Tam joined the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine’s School of Pharmacy and a member of the Institute for Drug Research.

Dr. Tam received 2018 the NCATS Director's Awards from the National Institutes of Health and the Chowers Prize for Endocrinology by the Israel Endocrinology Society.
