Joseph (joe) A. Henske MD, FACE

Joseph (Joe) Henske, MD, FACE, is a full-time clinical endocrinologist and the endocrine department chair at DuPage Medical Group, a physician-owned organization of 550+ physicians located in suburban Chicago. He completed his internal medicine residency at Northwestern University in 2007 and endocrinology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in 2010 with a research focus on human islet regeneration. He competed in NCAA track and field and cross-country while at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

He continues to actively train and compete in distance running, having completed 13 marathons including 10 in Chicago. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 15 and has made helping his patients manage type 1 diabetes and exercise with insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors a major focus of his clinical practice. Outside of his work, he enjoys life in downtown Chicago, spending time with his wife and 4 young children.
