Joseph F. Fowler Jr MD

Dr. Fowler received his medical degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He completed his internship at the University of Cincinnati and his dermatology residency at the University of Louisville. He is currently a clinical professor of dermatology and director of the Occupational Dermatology & Patch Test Clinic at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

Dr. Fowler has contributed extensively to medical literature. He co-authored the fifth edition of Fisher's Contact Dermatitis, as well as the previous fourth edition. He has authored nine book chapters and more than 100 original articles, and his list of scientific exhibits invited lectures and published abstracts is quite lengthy.

Dr. Fowler is a member of numerous national and local medical organizations. He is a charter member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and currently is the President of the North American Contact Dermatitis Group. He is the assistant editor of the American Journal of Contact Dermatitis and Section editor of the Patch Test Clinic. Dr. Fowler is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Dermatological Association.
