Jose Maria Ruiz Moreno PhD

Dr. Jose Maria Ruiz Moreno is an ophthalmologist in the Retina and Vitreous Department of IMO (Institute of Ocular Microsurgery) Madrid and  Vissum Alicante.

Head of the Ophthalmology Service of the  Puerta de Hierro-Majadahonda University Hospital. Madrid. Member of the Clinical Leaders Forum (CLF) and president of the Miranda Training Commission.

He is a specialist in the medical and surgical retina, with a special interest in research, especially focused on pathological myopia, age-related macular degeneration,  diabetic macular edema  . as well as diagnostic imaging of retinal diseases.

He has been president of the Spanish Retina and Vitreous Society (2015-2019)  and is currently the president of the  Retinaplus foundation.

Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the  University of Zaragoza and Fellowship of the European Board of Ophthalmology.
