Jordan P. Grossman, DPM, FACFAS was recently named president-elect of the 6,500-member American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). Dr. Grossman was installed to his position at the ACFAS 70th Annual Scientific Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

The ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference, the largest educational meeting for foot and ankle surgeons in the U.S., draws attendees from around the world to discuss the most current techniques and technology for the treatment of deformities, diseases, and injuries of the foot and ankle.

“Looking ahead to the next two years ahead as president-elect and president of ACFAS, I see a great opportunity to give back to the profession, my colleagues, patients, and the College,” Dr. Grossman. “The members of ACFAS are second to none and I look forward to collaborating with them to help lead the profession into the future for the benefit of the specialty and our patients,” he added.

Dr. Grossman practices with Northeast Ohio Orthopaedic Associates and is board certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He serves as faculty for the Orthopaedic Residency Program at Akron General Medical Center and the Podiatric Surgical Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente/Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Grossman also serves as a clinical assistant professor of podiatry in orthopedic surgery at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and is Chief, Section of Podiatry at Akron General Medical Center and St. Thomas Hospital/Summa Health System.

Dr. Grossman earned his podiatric medical degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a podiatric surgical residency at the Podiatry Hospital of Pittsburgh and fellowships at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh and at The University of Ulm, Germany.
