John Marshall, Pharm.D., BCPS, is Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator – Critical Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Marshall completed his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin and a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and currently holds a faculty appointment at The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Dr. Marshall’s current areas of interest include expanding clinical pharmacy services in the intensive care unit and developing and measuring the effectiveness of clinical guidelines as they relate to patient outcomes. His publications have focused on the utilization of a clinical pharmacist in the intensive care unit to improve sedation practices, as well as practitioner perceptions pertaining to delirium.
