In 1996 he is President of the International Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Radiology. 1997 President of the Austrian Society of Angiology. He is Chairman of the Program Committee of CIRSE. In 2004 he is Co-editor of Roentgen Fortschritte in 2005-07 he is President of CIRSE. From 2005-14 he is the Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, Medical University Vienna, Austria. From 2005-14 he is the Vice chairman of the Department of Radiology, Medical University Vienna, Austria.
