After receiving his Doctor of Medicine from Universite de Montreal, Dr. Dupuis did his internship at McGill University, followed by a doctorate in experimental medicine at this same institution. He then specialized in internal medicine and then in cardiology at Universite de Sherbrooke. Since 1994, he has practised cardiology at the Montreal Heart Institute, where he started a basic and applied research laboratory. He has received awards at every level of the Clinical Research Scholar program of the Fonds de recherche du Quebec – Sante and received a National Researcher Award.

Dr. Dupuis research work focuses on pulmonary circulation and how this circulation is modified in pulmonary hypertension. The goal of his research is to understand the physiopathological mechanisms responsible for this disease so that new therapeutic and diagnostic approaches can be developed for this condition. Since 2008, he has worked in particular on developing novel patented molecules for the molecular imaging of pulmonary circulation.
