Jiaqi Shi, MD, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Michigan (UM). Dr. Shi received her Pathology residency training at the University of Arizona and UM and completed her subspecialty Gastrointestinal Pathology training at UM. She was recruited to UM as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2020. Dr. Shi is a physician-scientist with a research interest in pancreas pathology and pancreatic cancer biology.
Dr. Shi has received an NCI Mentored Clinical Scientist Research Career Development Award (K08), NCI MERIT (Method to Extend Research in Time) Award (R37), and Benjamin Castleman Award from the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP). She has served as a member of the NIH study section, a reviewer for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) of the UK, and an Abstract Review Board member of USCAP and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA).
