Jessica Beaman MD, MPH

Jessica Beaman grew up within the city limits of Detroit, MI. She left the magical mitten to attend The George Washington University where she studied Biology and Anthropology and stayed on to earn her Masters in Public Health. After spending time in the cold, she spent a year in Costa Rica working on her Spanish, researching evidence-based medicine, and learning how to surf. She then moved to The Windy City to pursue her MD at The University of Chicago.

The first day of school she met her husband on the main quad in the same spot where "Harry" met "Sally." She made the move out west and is a graduate of the San Francisco Primary Care Track at The General. She plans to focus her career on primary care for the underserved, medical education, and women's reproductive rights. When not in the hospital, you can catch her cruising around the Marin Headlands with her hubster and overly anxious puppy -- Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge.
