Jennifer Cooper was a registered nurse and board-certified advanced public health nurse, and previously taught public health nursing at Georgetown and Marymount Universities. My nursing practice has been with older adults in a variety of settings and in community/public health. I work to connect students with experiences in these settings and am actively involved with projects at the Frederick County Department of Aging, Frederick County Health Department and Frederick Memorial Hospital. I work with the Association of Public Health Nurses managing a variety of projects related to chronic disease prevention and management, namely Million Hearts, which I have brought to the Hood College community.
