Jane C. Tan MD, PhD

Dr. Jane Tan is a kidney transplant nephrologist. She is currently a Professor of Medicine (Nephrology) at the Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Tan is also affiliated with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford – a children’s hospital which is part of the Stanford University system. It is located in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Tan is the Clinic Chief of the Adult Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Clinic (Stanford Hospital and Clinics). She is also the Medical Director of the Adult Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at Stanford University.

Dr. Tan received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1995. She then went on to complete her internship, residency, and fellowship training with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – Harvard Medical School. She also completed her Master of Science in Epidemiology and Clinical Research at Stanford University in 2014.

Dr. Tan is board-certified in both internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In 1995, Dr. Tan became a part of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, which is an honor society in the field of medicine.

Dr. Tan is a Fellow of the American Society of Transplantation (FAST). The American Society of Transplantation (AST) is an international organization of over 4,000 transplant professionals dedicated to advancing the field of transplantation through the promotion of research, education, advocacy, organ donation, and service to the community.
