James (jim) B. Stiehl MD, MBA

\\After 36 years, Jim retired from active orthopaedic surgery practice to focus on building a medical device company. While in practice, Jim specialized in total joint replacement and traumatology. He was an academic orthopedist for several years, publishing 100 peer reviewed manuscripts, 4 textbooks and 35 textbook chapters. For the past 10 years, Jim participated in several medical startups, including Traumis, LLC, Blue Ortho SAS, Surgivisio SAS, and Explorer Surgical, Inc, as an early investor and consultant. Jim's most recent efforts have exploited work regarding surgical suction/irrigation systems, of which several concepts have been patented. Jim holds an MD with Honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and received the Gold Cord with his MBA from the University of Illinois College of Business.
