James J. Matera DO, FACOI

Dr. Matera is a board-certified nephrologist in private practice in central New Jersey since 1994. His particular interests revolve around the care of the CKD patient as well as Critical Care Nephrology. He holds numerous administrative positions and Medical Directorships and has been the Codirector of Clinical Integration at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold NJ since 2012 dr. Matera is a frequent lecturer on these topics both locally and nationally and is committed to improving the Triple Aim of Healthcare for the future. He is forming a Multigroup alliance of Nephrologists with the goal of improving measured outcomes, reducing variation in how the treatment is rendered and partnering with Primary Care Doctors for success in managing these difficult groups of patients.

Dr. Matera lives in his home town of Monroe New Jersey and enjoys golfing, reading and is involved in organizations for community service. He has been named one of New Jersey Top Doctors several times and has been recognized by his Peers for Top Physician awards. He has published on efficiencies of hemodialysis in the American Journal of Kidney Disease.
