James C. Ulchaker MD, FACS

James Ulchaker is a Urologist at the Cleveland Clinic. He is board-certified in the Urology. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He has been the Past President of the Cleveland Urological Society, the Ohio Urological Society, and the North Central Section of the American Urological Association. Nationally, he served as the Chair of the AUA’s Young Urologist Committee, the AUA Education Committee, and the Chair of the AUA Legislative Affairs Committee, a position he held for eight years. He was the AUA’s 2012 Gallagher Health Policy Scholar and is the former Vice-Chair of UROPAC. Dr. Ulchaker is also a former member of the AUA’s BPH Guidelines Panel and has given numerous AUA courses on both BPH and health policy. He becomes the North Central Section Representative to the AUA in May 2020. The majority of his research has been in the field of new technologies associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, tumor markers, and the socioeconomic implications of today’s healthcare environment.
