OVERVIEW

28th Annual Advances in Urology is organized by USF Health’s Office of Continuing Professional Development and will be held during Apr 11 - 14, 2018 at Casa Marina, Key West, Florida, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is Urologists, Physician Assistants and Allied Healthcare Professionals. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 12.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description :
This meeting is designed for practicing urologists who are interested in updating their knowledge in the diagnosis, evaluation and management of urologic problems. A distinguished faculty will present advances in the management of urological problems including uro-oncology, sexual function, laparoendoscopic, robotic, minimally invasive surgery, prostate and bladder cancer and reconstruction surgery, with a strong emphasis on the technical aspects of various urological procedures. Important updates for practicing urologists on skills enhancement through simulation, health policy and work force utilization of allied health providers will also be provided.

• Summarize the options for treatment of patients with pelvic organ prolapse and female stress incontinence
• Describe the treatment options for patients with complications of pelvic radiation
• Determine the best surgical management of patients with nephrolithiasis
• Provide an update in the surgical management of BPH
• Summarize strategies to implement quality improvement and patient safety in Urology.
• Describe evidence-based management of reconstructive urology patients.
• Discuss the role of robotics in reconstructive urology.
• Identify the role of cosmetic urology.
• Summarize controversies in testosterone therapy.
• Discuss intravesical therapies for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
• Recognize current health policy and billing/coding guidelines in Urology.
• Recognize the role of neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy for muscle invasive bladder cancer.
• Summarize targeted therapies for advanced renal cell carcinoma
• Discuss advances in robotic partial nephrectomy
