Dr Ian Phoon is a Family Physician (consultant) in Singhealth, Pasir Ris Polyclinic (Singapore). He obtained his MBBS degree (Singapore) in 1999, and MMED (Family Medicine) Singapore in 2007.
He chairs the cardiovascular disease workgroup for Singhealth Polyclinics since May 2011, and was a clinical preceptor for the Singhealth Residency Program (Family Medicine) from June 2013 – June 2017. He also sat in the Ministry of Health, Singapore, Clinical Practice Guideline committee for hypertension from September 2012 till March 2017.
His other portfolios include being part of the Singapore Healthcare Improvement Network (SHINe), as the Program Manager for Singhealth Polyclinics (since May 2014), looking to reduce hypoglycaemia due to anti-diabetic medications, and a Chief Instructor for BCLS, AED/ CPR for Singhealth Polyclinics (since March 2013).
