Dr. Phan is an Associate Professor in Pharmacy Practice and Science at the College of Pharmacy and Associate Professor (Cross-Appt) in Pediatrics at the College of Medicine. She joined the Pediatric Pulmonary Section in 2009 and also served as the Residency Program Director for the Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY-2) Pediatric Pharmacy Specialty Residency at UA/UMC from 2009-2015. Dr. Phan earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Michigan, completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Pharmacotherapy at The Ohio State University, and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. She has practiced in various areas prior to joining The University of Arizona, including neonatal critical care/pediatrics and home care/hospice practice.

Dr. Phan's previous research endeavors included the safety and efficacy of pharmacotherapy used in pediatric infectious diseases, general pediatrics, and emergency medicine. She has authored publications in various peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, Pediatric Emergency Care, Pediatric Drugs, Drugs, and Clinical Toxicology. Dr. Phan's current research interests include safety and efficacy of drug therapy, patient education, and adherence in the treatment of cystic fibrosis and asthma.
