Gene Hern, MD, 2013 EMRA Residency Director of the Year – Alameda Health System (AHS) is proud to announce Highland Hospital's Residency Director, Gene Hern, MD, was recently honored with the 2013 Residency Director of the Year Award by the Emergency Medicine Residents Association (EMRA). Dr. Hern was recognized for his dedication to student and resident education, commitment to excellence, and accomplishments as program director at Highland. In addition to running one of the most respected residency programs in the country, Gene remains a skilled clinician, conducts important educational research, and is active on a national level.
