Greg Hillebrand PhD

Dr. Greg Hillebrand received his BS degree from Michigan State University, his PhD degree from Baylor College of Medicine and did his postdoctoral training at the University of Illinois, all in biochemistry. Greg is currently Senior Principal Research Scientist at Amway Global Discovery where he helps lead new technology for the Beauty and Nutritional categories. Prior to joining Amway, Greg was Principal Scientist with Procter & Gamble for 27 years. He has a broad expertise in skin and hair science, especially skin health, aging, photo-aging, epidemiology, biophysical and imaging clinical methods and product performance testing.

He has over 40 publications and 10 patents with several of his inventions successfully commercialized, most notably the technology platform for the VISIA Complexion Analysis System by Canfield Scientific. He lived and worked in Japan for 7 years on an ex-pat assignment for P&G gaining direct experience and insight into Asian consumer needs and the Asian beauty market. Greg is a member of the International Society for Biophysics and Imaging of the Skin, the Society of Investigative Dermatology and is member and past president of the US Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
