Graham Anthony Cassel MBBCh

Dr. Graham Cassel, MBBCh is a practicing Cardiologist at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg. His interests include Interventional Cardiology; Pacing; Heart Failure; Mechanical Heart Assists including LVAD and Orthotopic Heart Transplantation. He has pioneered many interventions in cardiology including coronary stenting, Left Ventricular Assist Devices, and runs the Transplantation unit at Milpark Hospital. He runs a busy private practice and sees patients with all types of heart disease. Dr. Cassel was part of the initial steering committee of SASCI, the Cardiac Intervention Society was President for four years, and is currently the secretary. He serves on many international and local cardiac advisory boards’. Dr. Cassel lectures extensively both locally and at international congresses. He serves on the international faculty of many high-profile cardiac interventional meetings. Dr. Cassel is the Principal Investigator of numerous interventional studies and registries both in the Cath Lab as well as outpatient drug trials.
