Giuseppe Brancatelli MD, PhD

Dr. Giuseppe Brancatelli is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at the University of Palermo, Italy. Prof Brancatelli has published on several abdominal imaging topics with particular attention to liver diseases. His major research interests are diagnostic imaging of the liver, pancreas, bile ducts and hepatobiliary contrast agents.

He has received numerous teaching, educational and scientific awards, including two Teaching Awards from the European School of Radiology. He is frequently invited to lecture internationally. He holds membership of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the Italian Society of Radiology (SIRM). He is Chairman of the Membership Committee of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR).
