Fuad Ismail MD, FRRCSI, FRCR

Dr. Fuad graduated from UKM in 1990. He completed his oncology training in Scotland obtaining the Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK). He has since served as an oncologist in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre and in Gleneagles Hospital.

He has been actively involved in policies and protocols in cancers including the National Cancer Blueprint, Systemic Therapy of Cancer Protocols, and Clinical Practice Guidelines for cervical and breast cancers among others.

He has worked with local and international agencies for the training of oncologists being a founder of the local Master of Clinical Oncology program in Universiti Malaya and publication of a training curriculum for radiation oncologists by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

He is also an examiner for the local program and lectures in UKM. He is an active committee member in the Malaysian Oncological Society and also acts as a researcher with a special interest in cancers of the rectum and cervix. He is now serving as Chairman of the Research and Ethics Committee in UKM.
