Friedrich D. Knollmann MD, PhD

Dr. Knollmann is a Diagnostic Radiologist who specializes in the diagnosis of cardiovascular and chest disease in adults and children. He has special experitse in Radiography, Computed Tomoraphy, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the heart , vessels, and chest, coronary artery disease, and tumors of the chest.

Dr. Knollmann's research is focused on cardiovascular and chest imaging, following a Humboldtian philosophy of combining scientific research, academic teaching, and clinical care. His Special areas of research include the effectiveness of imaging in diagnosing congenital and acquired heart and lung disease. Recent research includes the noninvasive diagnosis of coronary heart disease and lung cancer.
