OVERVIEW

Update in Advanced Imaging is organized by UC Davis Conference and Event Services (CES), UC Davis Health and will be held from Oct 22 - 25, 2018 at The Lodge At Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa, Sonoma, California, United States of America. This CME conference has been approved for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description:
Lectures topics include neuroradiology imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, abdominal imaging, breast imaging and cardiothoracic imaging.

• Discuss imaging of intracranial tumors.
• Describe an approach to imaging of patients with epilepsy.
• Review an update of acute stroke imaging including vessel wall imaging.
• Describe the principles of parathyroid 4D CT and imaging findings of parathyroid adenoma at 4D CT.
• Develop a simple approach to manage mediastinal masses.
• Identify the various appearances and ancillary findings encountered in community acquired pneumonias and use this information to predict likely organisms.
• Review the imaging features of internal abdominal hernias.
• Present difficult or unusual imaging cases likely to be found in clinical practice. Inter-modality/clinical comparison and pathology results.
• Improve differential in imaging of adrenal masses.
• Identify pitfalls in imaging of renal masses with ultrasound, CT, and MRI.
• Identify and localize cancer and decrease false positives with tomosynthesis in diagnostic settings.
• Review different indications for breast MRI.
• Review the imaging characteristics of the surgically altered breast and findings suspicious for recurrence of breast cancer.
• Use a case-based format to review characteristic MRI findings of tendon, ligament, & meniscus injuries.
• Recognize commonly missed radiographic abnormalities of the axial and appendicular skeleton.
• Use a case-based format to review MRI as a diagnostic tool in evaluation of the pre-operative and post-operative hip.
• Discuss 'must know' differential entities for focal bone lesions
