Freddie H. Fu MD, DSc (Hon), DPs (Hon)

Dr. Fu is the Medical Director of the UPMC Center for Sports Medicine as well as the David Silver Professor and Chairman for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery's Division of Sports Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently the head team physician for the University of Pittsburgh and serves as Adjunct Professor for the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh.

He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA) after completing two previous degrees at Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH). Dr. Fu has also received honorary degrees from Chatham College (Doctor of Public Service) and Point Park College (Doctor of Science). Dr. Fu's research interests include double bundle ACL reconstruction techniques, rotational instability in copers, clinical outcomes of surgery.
