Francesco Montorsi, MD, is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology and Director of the Urological Research Institute at University Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan, Italy. Prof. Montorsi received his medical degree from the University of Milan School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in Urology. In addition, he completed a residency in Andrology at the University of Pisa School of Medicine. Prof. Montorsi's major research interests have included several urological areas with a specific focus on pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of prostate cancer, urologic oncology, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and sexual dysfunctions.

He is a reviewer for The New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, JAMA, The Journal of Urology, Urology, Urological Research, British Journal of Urology International, International Journal of Impotence Research, World Journal of Urology, The Journal of Sexual Medicine, and European Urology. In 1998 Prof. Montorsi received the Matula Award, assigned yearly by the European Association of Urology to the Urologist < 40 years of age with the best scientific production. Prof. Montorsi received his medical degree from the University of Milan School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in Urology.
