Frances F. Chung MBBS, FRCPC

Frances Chung, MBBS, FRCPC is Professor of Anesthesiology at University of Toronto and Medical Director, Combined Surgical Unit and Ambulatory Surgical Unit, University Health Network. She is president of the Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine and past president of Society For Ambulatory Anesthesia. Her research interests include perioperative medicine, ambulatory anesthesia, and obstructive sleep apnea.She developed the STOP-Bang questionnaire, a widely used screening tool for obstructive sleep apnea. She has 200 scientific publications.

Dr. Chung's research has been recognized by multiple awards including Research Recognition Award from Canadian Anesthesiologist's Society, Distinguished Services Award, Society For Ambulatory Anesthesia and R oyal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada's McLaughlin-Gallie Visiting Professorship for 2013.
