Ferric C. Fang MD

Dr. Ferric C. Fang is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine, Microbiology and Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. After receiving his education at Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, he has worked for the past thirty years as an infectious diseases specialist and medical microbiologist caring for patients, teaching, and researching bacterial genetics and pathogenesis. Prof. Fang currently serves as the Director of Clinical Microbiology at Harborview Medical Center and the Deputy Editor of the IDSA journal Clinical Infectious Diseases. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Association of American Physicians, the American Academy of Microbiology and the American Society of Clinical Investigation
