Etienne Sokal MD, PhD

Professor Etienne Sokal is CISO and founder of Promethera Biosciences and also a member of the board. He is a pediatric hepatologist with 30 years experience in the fields of pediatric liver diseases and liver transplantation. He is head of the paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology service at Cliniques Universitaires St Luc (Brussels, Belgium) and full professor at University Catholique de Louvain (UCL) (Belgium). So far, more than 1000 children from many countries around the world have received liver transplantation at St Luc, and many others have been treated for various acquired or congenital liver diseases, including liver based metabolic disorders.
